Our new math series has the students breaking up multiplication facts into easier ones. This strategy helps them to visualize equal sets and use easier tables to solve the harder ones. If someone has difficulty solving the 9's tables, they can break it into 6 and 3, or any other combination of 9. We are practicing this skill everyday. I am also asking the children to study their multiplication facts up to 12. There are many resources in the Math/Science google classroom. Please help them by reviewing the tables with them.

We completed a digital "escape room". The groups had to unlock six "boxes" to get out of Washington D.C. The boxes focused on the three branches of government (judicial, legislative, and executive), the constitution and checks and balances. We also completed flash cards for the three branches and a foldable.
We also watched these following videos while discussing the branches of government.

Science
With the short week, we did not get to Science. We are still working with absorbing water and what happens to the weight of an item with water in it, and without.
- Happy Thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy some family time and relaxation.
- Thank you for collecting extra change and money. Our class raised around $270 during Pennies for Patients.
- Pajama Drive: Pj's will be collected from November 8th until December. They will be donated to the Pajama Program. As always, we will watch "The Polar Express" the day before winter break to celebrate the pajamas we collected for this season.
- We are running low on Clorox wipes. If you see any on sale during your travels, we would welcome more for our class.
