General Announcements
ELA:
We are completed with our multiplication charts! Each child wrote out with their own to help with learning the facts. We worked a lot with breaking up multiplication facts into smaller ones. This helps while they are learning the facts fluently. (ex: 6 x3 = (3X3) + (3X3)) We have a ton of songs and videos in the math google classroom. Please review some with your child when you have some time.
SS
We compared and contrasted the roles of the mayor, governor and president. We began talking about the three branches of government. This is where we will be for the next couple of weeks.
Science
We are working with aborbing water and what happens to the weight of an item with water in it, and without.
- NO SCHOOL: Thanksgiving Break is Thursday and Friday 11/28 and 11/29.
- We celebrated World Kindness Day on the 13th. We learned about Mr. Roger's and watched one of his episodes.
- This week, again, our class raised around $100 for this week of Pennies for Patients. This will run until November 27th.
- School pictures Make up day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 26th at 9 AM.
- Pie and Cookie Fundraiser can be picked up in the front foyer on November 25th.
- Gentleman's Choice: November 22nd. Invites went home last week. Please let us know if you need another one.
- Piezoni's Fundraiser Night: Dine in and part of the bill will be given to the school. Treat yourself to some dinner on November 25th and 26th.
- Pajama Drive: Pj's will be collected from November 8th until December. They will be donated to the Pajama Program.
ELA:
- We worked on to the skills that follow "Roberto Clemente". Finding text evidence is still an area of need for many of us. We will continue to work on finding it when we are asked to write a reading response. We practiced editing/ revising, vocabulary and homonyms.
